Clothes Dryers

Nevada residents may qualify for a Home Energy Rebate that covers up to $840 for a heat pump clothes dryer. However, rebates for clothes dryers and home weatherization upgrades will soon be available through the Governor’s Office of Energy, which is expected to roll out in 2025. Check back here later for more information. 

For NV Energy customers, the company provides the following savings through its PowerShift program:

• • Free replacement of electric dryers 10 years or older

• • $200 off an ENERGY STAR heat pump clothes dryer

• • $50 off an ENERGY STAR electric dryer

Low-income to middle-income Nevada households may qualify for the Home Energy Rebate program, depending on your household income. Additional information about this program will be available through the Governor’s Office of Energy, which is expected to roll out in 2025. Check back here later for more information.

The primary/minimum qualification for electric or heat pump clothes dryers is ENERGY STAR-certified products. However, the Governor’s Office of Energy may include additional requirements. Check back here in 2025 for more information.

The rebate for electric or heat pump clothes dryers and other appliances will be calculated based on household income and the total cost of the purchase or contractor invoice. Instead of receiving cash, the rebate is applied at the time of the purchase, reducing the amount you owe at checkout or on the contractor’s bill.
