Thanks to historic federal clean energy investments, making these improvements are more affordable.
In 2023, we bought an EV and received the full federal tax credit for the purchase, which helped to make it more affordable for us. In 2024, we had Solartube skylights installed in our home and we received a 30% tax credit from the IRA — we also cut our electricity usage. So the IRA has been a win-win for our family and could definitely benefit more individuals and families if it remains untouched.
